My Comments:
Don't bother picking this up unless your a Tenchi fan,
and are wanting too find out some the answers to earlier episodes.

In the original Tenchi Muyo! OVA, It was only 6 episodes.
Because it was so well recieved by the viewing public, 7 more episodes were added.
But at the end of the 13th episode it was still some what open ended.
Leaving viewers questioning, wanting answers and closure to the many loose ends that were left hanging.

The Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-oki OVA's were suppose too answer those questions.
The first three episodes of the Ryo-oki OVA's gave us more insite into Tenchi's family.
As well as introduced us to some new characters.
But, this current OVA is just confusing, and inconsistent with the original series.
I felt that these episodes were rushed, and not really thought out.
It would of been better if the story was extended to 13 episodes, instead of the 7.
Thus, the Misao and Mashisu arc could of been finished better.
As, well as, the business with Lady Seto, Noike, Z, and the three Goddesses.

Basically.....
It has left me asking more questions, then it was suppose too of answered.
The next OVA is suppose to rap up those loose ends, and answer some of the questions.
I hope so.
As for the character drawings and back grounds.
Many of the characters are at times draw sloppily.
The back grounds were ok.
Thou, seeing a CGI version of Ryo-oki was strange.

I give this OVA  2 out of 5.

Rated: TV-PG
For minor nudity and some violence.

thanks, i've been thinking about buying their new OVA, but it didnt look at great to me. it seems as if their just trying milk tenchi muyo for everything its worth, next with be the Novels.

two things im wondering; are the voice actors the same as in Universe and the OVA, and how much is retail cost?

i might get it. it stands a much better chance then me buying GX.

Well, as I stated in the review.
This was rushed job.
Kenichi Yatagai should of extended the episodes out too at least 13.
So that more detailed explanations could be used for the Lady Seto, Z,
Three Goddesses, Misao & Mashisu arc's.

Well almost all the voice actors are back from the first Tenchi Muyo! OVA.
Just Ryoko is now played by Mona Marshal.

As for price......
I found it at Best Buy for $19.99.

Most everyone else was $26 or $29 each for the Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-oki OVA's.
